The train was improved and aimed to speed up from Pendorino ETR450. Not only the head shape but also realisation for 4 seats in line are different from ETR450. This is general version of the tilt train. The train runs by 270km/h in Diletisima (high speed track). Pendorino means tilt by Italian, ETR means electric express (Elettro Treno Rapido).
