[WORLD HERITAGE: Historic Centre of the City of Pienza] The small town of 400m was registered to the world heritage in the early days in Orcia Ravine. The town was designed by Holy Father Pius II in 15th century, and it is called "the small jewel at the Toscana". There is a square Pio II which shapes the trapezoid in front of the cathedral in order to feel depth. The pecorini cheese is famous. (Photography: Val d'Orcia, 5.2010)
