This vehicle was developed for the mini Shinkansen which runs straight through into the existing line between Fukushima and Yamagata in 1992. Therefore this vehicle is smaller than the ordinary Shinkansen. The maximum speed is 240km/h between Tokyo and Fukushima on Tohoku Shinkansen, 130km/h between Fukushima and Shinjyo on the existing line. Although this vehicle had been running as TUBASA (the wing), it was abolished on 4.2010.
