This vehicle which has all double deckers was developed to take more passengers than Series E1 in 1997. This vehicle has a longer nose than Series 700 by pneumatic theory. The formation of this vehicle is basically 8 cars and it can connect 2 formations. This is world record which many passengers can ride on as high speed train. The maximum speed is 240km/h. This vehicle is running as Max YAMABIKO, Max NASUNO, Max TOKI and Max TANIGAWA for Tohoku Joetsu Shinkansen.
