The series 700 ran as a redevelopment of the series 300 in 1999. This series is faster than series 300 and can take on more passenger than series 500. Considering the result of pneumatic theory, this vehicle has a nose like Playpuse or slipper. The maximum speed is over 270km/h. It takes 2 hours and 25 minutes between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka. This series on Sanyo line is faster than the series 300 but slower than series 500.
